Up and down and all around!

So the past few days have been so tiring! I'm not even doing anything productive it seems and I'm ready to pass out by 4 p.m. each evening! I have been trying to keep up with things around the apartment though. We keep it fairly clean most of the time for random visitors, although our bedroom can get the boot some days, so there is really not a ton to do. I have realized that since we have moved here- October of 10- that I have never really cleaned the showers in our bathrooms. I sprayed them out and such when we first moved in but other than that nothing! I spray ours occasionally between showering but we have never used our guest shower so it has needed some attending to. My mother-in-law will be coming to visit us this next week and I'm trying to make things as less dog hairy as I can, and lucky me my dog decided to have his first main shedding period of the year! So as I sprayed the guest bathroom expecting to not have to do much, I realized that there was some definite scrubbing being called for. I got on the cleaning scrubs and crawled in and scrubbed and scrubbed... and scrubbed and then noticed that we have two different types of grout which makes the one look dirty. So that was about 10 minutes in inhaling strange chemicals for nothing, but now I know it's clean.
Also on the topic of this next week and my lovely pup brings up our guest room. Our desktop computer is in that room so I use it a few times a day if I don't have the urge to carry around the laptop. I have noticed that despite me already washing all of the covers and making the bed perfectly that it was a mess. Why do you ask? Because my lovely dog, Roscoe, has apparently taken it upon himself to own the bedroom. Now everyday I catch him up on the bed. He is SO SNEAKY! He will disappear and I go to look for him and he is on what he thinks is HIS human bed. Well needless to say that door is now closed and I am in the process of RE-washing all of the covers that I already spent time taking care of. * (sigh) *
But anyways. You know when your home is clean, and you don't plan on cleaning and it's fine for random friends and such you feel fine. But then you get that announcement that someone from out of town is going to come stay with you, and then you have a whole different meaning in your head of clean and your already, " clean" apartment is now categorized as, " no one can see this until it's clean!". That's the state that I'm in right now. Our bathrooms are clean, kitchen as well. Almost all of our laundry is done and put away. Floors swept, but suddenly it's not enough and I find myself in overdrive mode! Which has not been fun with the returning of my massive severe migraines and dizziness deciding to cling in with them. But anyways, I'm still filling each day out with one thing I would like to do before she gets here and feel accomplished that I already have done today's- Wash guest room covers. CHECK! Now I suppose I should take advantage of our lovely made bed and pillows to rest up and finish my book... hm...
